Myofascial work can be compared to static stretching or yoga. Stretching can temporarily reduce muscular perfomance and power output. If you have any type of event that requires high levels of physical output, i.e., competitions, races, etc., allow 2-3 days between the session and the event.

Although it is not common, it is normal to experience mild soreness after a session. This should pass after a day or two.

For more severe tightness, you will be given stretches to help maintain the benefits of the session. These stretches should be performed as directed.
